Golden Retriever 5th National

I had a thrilling time in Australia, visiting this prestigious show and had the pleasure in seeing ‘in the flesh’ a small selection of the children and grand-children of my two boys ‘Scholar and Gunna’, from when they stayed for a short time ‘down under’, with Ann Smith (Goldfleece).

Some notable (for me) results from the show:

	BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW (beating some 54 Junior’s) was the jointly owned dog, with Ann Smith (Goldfleece) STANROPH SHARED ASSETS (Imp) (Sh Ch Goldenquest Ambassador ex Sh Ch Stanroph So Be It), who was just 13 months of age, at this time.
	WINNER OF THE SIRE AND PROGENY (beating 12 different sires and their progeny, was the Aust Ch Stanroph School Boy son) CH GILTEDGE HEMINGWAY, owned by Kim Handley and his mum CH FANTANGO IN POPPYFIELDS was BEST IN SHOW, jointly owned by K. Handley and J. Dulke.
	3rd BABY PUPPY CLASS (out of 24 babies) was Ann Smith’s newest arrival and just 5 months of age, STANROPH SECOND TO NONE (Imp) (Linchael Vivaldi J.W. ex Sh Ch Stanroph Sea Nymph).
	1ST AUSTRALIAN BRED BITCH was CH GILTEDGE CHARLOTTE (an Aust Ch Stanroph School Boy daughter and litter brother to Ch Giltedge Hemingway), owned by Kim Handley.
	OPEN DOG was won by CH CHALEUR QUIZMASTER (who is a Sh Ch Stanroph Soldier Boy grandson) and second to him was SANTAMARIA JUDGEMENT DAY (an Aust Ch Stanroph School Boy son).
